financial institution.  Over 450 major production (Informix,
Oracle Sybase) databases are used in this transaction
heavy environment.  The applications are mission critical
and system and database up-time at the maximum is important.
Position needs a skilled Informix DBA (database administrator)
who will be able to apply and perform traditional DBA tasks,
and will also be good with project assignments.

Informix DBA
East Coast Location
To $50-80K
Informix and/or database monitoring and tuning.  Planning
for high availability and continuous operation.  Support
of persistance function and OO.  Required skills include
Informix, DBA, UNIX, 5 years relational, 2 years UNIX/
Informix, C, and C++.

Informix DBA
Michigan
To $60-75K
Our extremely progressive client is looking for an experienced
Informix DBA with PeopleSoft experience.  The job requires
creating and maintaining Informix databases and infrastructure,
physical and logical database design, administrate, back-up,
maintain, and support Informix databases, work with development
teams to support production, in addition to working on
development projects, and performance tuning.  Skills needed
include 3+ years experience as an Informix DBA on UNIX
(preferably HP-9000 running HP/UX 11.0), PeopleSoft experience,
SQL expereince, experience with database security issues and
data warehousing desired.  The individual must also have
excellent communication skills.

acceptable.

Informix DBA
Ohio
To $50-70K
Client in Ohio needs an Informix DBA with experience working
with Informix in a HP-UX environment.  This is not strictly
a DBA position, will also work with the programmer analysts
and be responsible for database analysis, design, maintenance,
storage procedures and tuning.  Must have experience with HP-UX
Administration and software development.  Candidates need to
have the combination of technical ability and good communication
skills.  They will be required to discuss technical issues with
corporate executives so the communication skills are essential.
Company has very little turnover.  They advocate promoting from
within.  Been in business for over 25 years, public company,
small shop, informal environment.

Programmer/Analyst
North Carolina
To $45-57K
Experience in UNIX (preferably AIX).  INFORMIX database and either
COBOL or INFORMIX 4GL.  Should have experience with at least 2 of
the following: COBOL, C, INFORMIX OR INFORMIX 4GL.  This position
is a hands-on position in the coding, design and support of AIX
applications in the Distribution Center.  Should have an aptitude
for interfacing with hardware such as conveyors, printers, RF
equipment (distribution center materials handling equipment).
