sqlexecd 7.1 problem in AIX 4.2!!

Post by Roberto Espeni » Sun, 31 Dec 1899 09:00:00

Hi, i'm running Informix SE 7.1 in a Aix 4.2 box. The applications
connect with the database using seipcpip protocol.

When i run sqlexecd, to connect my other windows applications, using
sesoctcp protocol, the perfomance goes down and i discovered that
several tcpip sub-systems go down too!

Any idea whats going on?

Anyone had a similar problem?

There are reported problems with Aix and Informix SE 7.1?

Thanks in advance.

Roberto.

1. Can't start Pgsql 7.1 on FreeBSD 4.2

 Postmaster spits out this :
IpcMemoryCreate: shmget(key=5432001, size=1236992, 03600) failed: Cannot
allocate memory
When I try to start it. I compiled and installed from the ports
collection.

I compiled these into my kernel :
options         SYSVSHM                 #SYSV-style shared memory
options         SYSVMSG                 #SYSV-style message queues
options         SYSVSEM                 #SYSV-style semaphores

 Any ideas?
