Problem understanding about DUMP DEVICES and RESTORES...

Could someone please help me:

I had a database (lets call it ABC) on a previous Sybase SQL Server. I had
to back this up onto a DUMP DEVICE (logical name: ABCDMP ~ physical name:
ABCDMP.DMP) which I saved.

I have now installed a new server with a new database (eg: XYZ), together
with a new dump device (logical name: XYZDMP ~ physical name: XYZDMP.DMP)
and I need to
copy the old dump device ~ ABCDMP.DMP to the new dump device ~ XYZDMP.DMP
in order to restore the old database (ABC) as the new database (XYZ).

I am very confused about how to get the old dump sitting in an old dump
device into my new dump device so that I can restore my old database. Can
someone help?
