by I have a rather urgent need for a Sybase DBA on a short term contract. (The
consultant I had lined up simply changed his mind at the last minute. Nice guy
eh?).
The situation:
4 Production Sybase 4.9.2 servers and 4 dev/acpt 4.9 & 10.0 servers all
on Sun Solaris (except 1 on SunOS 4.1.3 & 1 Dec Unix Alpha).
Replication server 10.0.3 with local and offsite replication.
OMNI SQL Server running on Vax-VMS (very low maintenance) and a few
Open Servers (again low maintenance).
I need a DBA to keep things going until full time staff is brought in
in 2-4 weeks.
Contract:
Minimum 4 week engagement with possible 4 week extension (min
40hrs/wk). Must be Sybase literate. Start date (as soon as
possible). Hourly rate commensurate with experience. Position is in
downtown Boston.
