Financial Apps for Sybase or MS SQL Server

Post by Tim Aiel » Thu, 30 Mar 1995 04:00:00

Does anyone know of Financial (Accounting) software that is implemented
in a client/server environment.  Windows client side and a RDBMS of
Sybase's or Microsoft's SQL Server on the server side.  Specifically
looking for Accounts Rec., Accounts Payable, General Ledger.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As a matter of fact, Dun & Bradstreet Software (about the 9th largest
Software company in the world, I would wager) does 90 of their
business using said financial packages; their new client/server
package is a PC (win or os2) based financial package called 'Smart
Stream' and uses a powerbuilder front end with a Sybase backend
(492 or sys10, i believe)..  If you need a contact there,
their dallas office can be reached at 214.716.7700, write me
mail if you want a specific person to talk to, and I will happily
send you a reply. (I am a little loathe to go posting someone's
name as a contact to this general discussion area, no offense
intended of course)
