conducting a search for a major telecommunications company in
Northern *ia.
Your responsibilities will include systems maintenance, script
writing, performance tuning and security management. You need a BS
in CS or Engineering, 4+ years' database administration experience
using ORACLE/ Sybase/ Informix, and a background working with large
database (30+ GIGS) in a UNIX environment.
Responsible for writing stored procedures; automating backup and
restore process; capacity planning; performance monitoring/tuning;
data modeling; logical and physical design; and data security.
Experience with ORACLE 7.X, INFORMIX, Sybase, UNIX. Knowledge of all
or some: Pro*C/SQL/PL*SQL/SQL*Forms/SQL*Reports. Familiarity with
Netscape Commerce Server, HTML, and UNIX systems administration a
plus!
Good communications skills and interpersonal skills are essential.
