SQL Server 11 on OS/2??

Post by Albert Lande » Sat, 11 Nov 1995 04:00:00

Hi Bob,
The initial offering of Sybase SQL 11 is going out on
Sybase's core production platforms.  For those who are keeping
score at home, those platforms are Solaris, HP9000-HPUX, RS/6000 AIX,
DEC Unix, and Windows NT.  These have been announced as going out
in Q4 of 95.  Unfortunately for you, OS/2 is one of those platforms
which will be ported to at a later date, so it definitely won't be
this year.   :-(

Bob,

Last I heard, OS/2 versions are now 2nd tier.  Sybase is commited to
continueing to support the platform, but will now release versions for OS/2
about 6 weeks after the first tier platforms (AIX, NT, Sun, HP, etc).  Hence,
we've been told to expect to see System 11 for OS/2 sometime in January.
