Job Description:
The function of the Programmer/Analyst is to perform analysis,
assist in design
and to write code from final user requirements documents for all
new development
and maintenance on new and existing systems. Participate in
Design and Testing,
Installation and Maintenance. Ensure project plans are
completed on time within
the requirements.
Job Duties:
Assist in the decision of software and database designs
Diagram information flow, showing source and distribution of all
segments
Develop block diagrams of program logic from program
specifications
Testing computer programs, identifying and resolving problems
Provide technical assistance and support to programming and
analysis staff
Ensure requirements are accurately transformed into production
code software
Ensure version control, code migration and technical
documentation is performed
Position Requirements:
BS in CS, MIS, Finance, Business or equivalent experience
0 - 7 years experience in data processing environment
Participate in projects of small to large complexity and size
0 - 4 years in technical area related to job duties
Excellent interpersonal skills
Able to work with little to moderate supervision
Excellent verbal and written communications
Flexible work hours to include evenings and weekends as necessary
Able to work effectively with several issues or problems
simultaneously
Strong analytical, research and organization skills
Attention to detail
Working knowledge of Development lifecycle methodology
Working knowledge of case tools
Technical Environment:
PC and Sun Workstation clients connected on LAN to Large Banyan
Vines Network
and several Sun Servers running Solaris
Database:
Sybase
Languages:
