You need to check out SQL-Builder at http://www.castsoftware.com.  There
is a full product there available for you to download. It debugs procs
and triggers and has a killer coding and testing environment.

Happy Coding,

Cast-WorkBench - SQL-Builder also looks very good.
You can get an evaluation copy by calling them up. (Sorry don't remember
the number).

1. Software - Sybase DBA & Development Tools - Free

Dear Sybase Users,

You can freely download a complete set of Solaris Sybase
tools from the public ftp site:

                  ftp.cdrom.com

under directory:

                /pub/unixfreeware/database

compresses tar-file:

                 btools-3.0.tar.Z

The software consists of about 75 C++ programs and class
libraries.

I wrote the programs mainly for UNIX Sybase DBAs.  There are
dozens of useful programs like making full database lists
of Sybase objects (tables, indices, views, procs, constraints,
rules, defaults, permissions, etc., copying sets of database
objects from one owner to another (db to db, server to
server), analyzing segment usage by reporting the
size of objects on each segment by disk fragment,
showing referential integrity constraint violations
*after* bcp operations.  There's also a substitute program
for isql, which unlike isql, returns a meaningful exit
code (0 = successful, !0 = Sybase returned an error).

For Rep Server sites, there are programs which generate
replication definitions and subscriptions, and programs
which check subscriptions until they reach their validation
state.

Developers can use the class libraries to write their
own Sybase tools and programs.  I wrote a Open Client
class libraries as well as Open Server libraries.

These programs are well tested.  Lucent Technologies, AT&T
and General Electric are among the users of this software.
Since I wrote these programs at a combination of sites,
and with the permissions of the above companies, I can
offer them to you at no expense.   You just can't sell
them to anyone.   You can give them away and modify
them in any way you like.

The programs employ a full set of C++ Sybase and Solaris utility
class libraries.  You get these libraries and their source code.
You also can the binaries and source for all the programs.
The binaries are for Solaris 2.5.  I compiled with Open
Client/Server 11.1 libraries using the SunSoft C++ 4.2
compiler.

I hope you find them useful.
