Plus98 Compressed Folders problem

Hello,

I have been using Compressed Folders for awhile and recently it has been giving me an illegal operation whenever I close an 'exploring *.zip' folder.  This is what I get:

EXPLORER caused an invalid page fault in
module ZIPFLDR.DLL at 015f:7120a5de.

Hopefully someone will be able to help me figure this out....

Thanks,

Do you have WinZip installed as well?  If so, then this may be the problem.  To fix, uninstall both and then reinstall WinZip first and compressed folders second.

Tom,

I don't have WinZip or any other zip utility.  I reinstalled Plus98 and it
didn't solve the problem.   The illegal operation happens every time I
repeat the steps I wrote about previously....any other suggestions?

JoLyn

I think it is a known bug of IE5. Sorry, I haven't got either, but I have
heard that before in the spanish NG (talking about IE5 in english and Plus
in english).

        Saludos,

Microsoft are aware of this bug, it does occur with IE5 Beta and Ms Plus.
The bug is due to the Explorer component, so there's no way around this.

You can just right click and extract to folder, this stops folder being
opened.
