"Generating Preview" is not working..... is it possible to turn back on?!? W/O re-installation?

One of the most useful improvements in Win 98 was the little app. that
allows a quick preview of a JPEG or GIF file within a folder or Explorer.
Certain non-Windows viewers wreck havoc (most notoriously, Quick Time) and
even if you go into Folder Options and re-associate the file types, the
little gem that generates a quick thumb-nail can stop working.

In the past, re-installing Win 98 will fix it, but at the expense of having
to re-download all the update Cabs.

Does anyone know a quick shortcut off the disc or a command to run that will
fix this bug?

Please.

Hi Geoff

Give this a try.

Click Start, click Run, copy and paste the following command in the
Open box, and then press ENTER:

regsvr32.exe /i shdocvw.dll

Thank you, Bert!

Pasted and entered your command, and got an Info Dialogue entitled
"RegSvr32"  with the assurance that "DllRegisterServer and DllInstall in
shdocvw.dll succeeded."  Still no .jpg preview generated, though.  Perhaps I
have to restart my rig?

Zowie!  THANKS Bert!!  It worked.  Gee, pal, that's worth real money to me.
Anything I can do for you?  I'm an eye doctor?  No?  Anyway, thanks.

1. why am I seeing "Microsoft Windows Network" info over 2 sites?

Sorry if the subject is confusing, but I have 2 sites connect by a T1 Point
to point link, everything is working great but I see all the computers on
the network in my "Browse" or whatever they call it now.
I thought that wasn't support to happen, that netbios traffic only worked on
one subnet, why I am seeing all the computers from different subnets? It's
not bad I'm just wondering

thanks
