How Disable TRS Programs

Post by Debbi » Tue, 27 Jun 2000 04:00:00

Hi,

I have a problem with a few TSR programs coming up (like reel player) and
using system resources. I manually close them, but it would be really nice
to know how to stop them from automatically starting. (I really do not need
real player or some of the others to automatically start)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks'

Deb

Check the programs themselves and see if there is an option for having icons
appearing in the tray.  If not, run msconfig.exe, startup tab, and disable
anything you don't want to start on boot.

See here for some comments about RealPlayer. It has information on disabling
the startup.  It also has information about other things that may be slowing
your system and using resources.
