I'm looking for a turn-key backup solution for Oracle 734 running on NT
4.0.
Wants:
- Online (Hot) Backups
- Arch log management (aging old logs)
- Backup of Control File
- Backup of Password file
- Back of Init.ora
- Anything else I'm missing

Looks like Veritas Backup Exec will do most of what I want.
Do any of you have Experience with Backup Exec that you would like to
share? Good? Bad? Ugly?
Any info will be Greatly Apprciated!
Terry

You could try SQLbacktrack from BMC - it runs on NT

Backups on NT: Is there a turn key solution?

I had a bad experience where a very large oracle file spanned 2 tapes.
We consistently were unable to restore.  The problem was repeated on
multiple backup tapes.

1. Backup: Looking for a Turn-key solution?

I'm looking for a stand-alone turn-key backup solution
for Oracle 734 running on NT 4.0.
Wants:
- Online (Hot) Backups
- Arch log management (aging old logs)
- Backup of Control File
- Backup of Password file
- Back of Init.ora
- Export
- Scheduling
- Anything else I'm missing?
We plan on running backups and exports to disk and then running
Veritas Backup Exec to run every thing out to tape.
