Seeking a Database Administrator
 Responsible for Oracle Database Administration.
 Provide general MS Windows NT Administration Backup support.
 Provide general physical network support.
 Follows all environmental and safety, regulations related to the

Essential Job Functions
Database Administration (80%)
 Responsible for maintenance of production and development Oracle
databases; plan for database capacity; make recommendations regarding
required hardware resources, OS tuning, and application tuning, provide on
call support for database and related systems at the Smyrna, GA site.
 Responsible for administration and support of production databases,
including database monitoring, capacity
 planning and troubleshooting.
 Research database technologies and platforms and make
 Work with project teams in the U.S. & overseas to design, implement
and maintain database applications.
 Coordinate database operations with Network Systems Administrators.
 Investigate application problems, analyze code to resolve problems.
 Perform basic RDBMS functions on Oracle database for replication of
data, performance tuning/benchmarking and creating/modifying database
Technical Support (20 %)
 Provide back-up support for Network Systems Analyst during workload
 Assist the IS staff with the management of the NT Database
 Provide DBA backup support in the SAP environment when needed.
 B.S., Computer Science or Technical Background and Experience
 3-5 years of related experience.
 Network Systems Administration
a. Strong working knowledge of Oracle RDBMS.
b. Strong working knowledge of HP-UX and MS Windows NT Operating System.
c. Working knowledge of HP and Compaq file servers.
d. Knowledge of NT Database Concepts including Oracle 8.0 Microsoft SQL.
e. Knowledge of the LAN (Ethernet) and WAN Techniques
 Computer Skills
a. Knowledge of PC hardware and software
b. Knowledge of LAN (Ethernet) and WAN techniques.
c. Knowledge of MS Windows
d. Basic knowledge of the MS Office Applications Suite
