send specific oracle 8i table data to specific sql server 2000 table at specific times

Hi,
I'm new to Oracle. I'm experienced with SQL Server. I have the Oracle
client software and SQL Server client software installed on my
workstation and I have tested connectivity between the 2 servers and
they see each other. Here's what I would like to do:

Send specific oracle 8i table data to specific sql server 2000 tables
at specific times throughout the day.

I'm open to using XML tools in Oracle and SQL Server. So far the only
solution I've seen is using SQLPlus and/or a 3rd party tool called
chyfo.

You may notice that I'm wanting Oracle to "be the boss" of when to
send the data. The reason for this is we're in a migration over the
next 1-2 years where SQL Server will no longer be used. When that time
comes I don't want to have to rewrite DTS packages from SQL over to
Oracle (I'm planning for the future).

How can I accmomplish my goal? Any help/hyperlinks, etc are welcome.

Sincerely,

Andy Sutorius

Oracle sells a product called a Transparent Gateway to SQL Server.
Investigate it.

Off-topic but worth mentioning...that's a nice boat at exesolutions!

1. Locking specific network IP's to specific Oracle Instances

We are currently setting up the network administration of a client/server
architecture to an administrative database and would like to know if there is
anyone that has tried locking a section of a network into a specific Oracle
instance.  We have searched through the Oracle documentation for examples of
PROTOCOL.ORA and validnode checking for TCP/IP to little or no avail.
Examples would be greatly appreciated or specific references that have
concrete examples.

2. Changing Network Name (P5W)

3. inserting specific values returned by a subquery into specific columns

4. Transfer Database Schema from one SQL Server to another

5. column specific permissions for SQL-Server 7.0 table

6. BUG in Foxpro for Windows 2.6???

7. Help using OPENXML to retrieve specific elements for use in SQL insert (SQL*Server 2000)

8. ID column

9. column specific permissions for SQL-Server 7.0 table

10. How to bind SQL Server 2000 only to specific network card

11. getting a list of groups a specific user belongs to in sql server 2000

12. Restoring specific tables and table segments in INFX 7.2

13. Create Table in a specific Data File
