Description: This is a 2 month contract position, with a possibility of temporary-to-permanent placement.
Will be tasked with converting a database from Sybase to Oracle 9 for a government project. May lead a small team, but will be required to perform hands-on work as well.
Will maintain and enhance the database as needed to support the application; will provide documentation (programming and user documentation, white papers, etc). The candidate will troubleshoot and resolve database problems.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 years of Oracle experience, with some Oracle 9 experience.
- 1 year of Sybase experience
- Team Lead experience
- Must have strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Must be a US CITIZEN and have held a SECRET or TOP SECRET CLEARANCE within the last 24 months.
Hours 8:00 to 5:00, with an hour for lunch, and are not flexible. This position is NOT metro accessible (Ft. Belvoir). There is no relocation assistance.
