Key skills required; Visual Basic, Oracle & Document Management
The role is to provide expertise in terms of development, maintenance
and support, and capability as an analyst programmer to ongoing and
future document management projects
Key Accountabilities
To develop a good understanding of the business areas and to use that
knowledge to consult and advise the business on the best use of document
management technologies.
To analyse user requirements, possibly within a prototyping arena to
ensure business needs are met.
To construct, test and implement document management systems.
To provide detailed technical support to solve in-depth technical
issues.
To maintain a good knowledge and understanding of relevant technologies,
language, processes and techniques.
To ensure compliance with internal and external standards and
regulations.
To establish effective working relationships with line management, team
members, relevant staff within IS and the business to help them meet the
business objectives.
The successful candidate will have some development experience with
Visual Basic and Oracle and knowledge of client server development.
Experience in application development, particularly Intranet
development, COM technology, or document management technologies (in
particular Documentum) would be an advantage. Cross training will be
offered to suitable candidates.
You will need to demonstrate an ability to plan and prioritise work, co-
ordinating with other team members. Problem-solving skills are
essential, as is innovation on both a technical and business basis.

Salary: 18,000 - 34,000 + excellent company benefits
