Installing Oracel 8i v8.1.5 on Windows 2000

Post by Steve Hilt » Sun, 31 Dec 1899 09:00:00

Hi,

Im trying to install Oracle 8i (version 8.1.5) on a Windows 2000 platform
(version 5.00.2195) and when
it tries to install the default database, an error message
displays, stating not enough disk space. The drive is
a 4.3GB drive with only 419MB being used... Im not
even sure if it is possible to perform this install, any
help would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks,

Yes, perfectly possible as this is the configuration I am
running. I seem to recall getting the same error message but I
just ignored it and everything works fine.
