Required Skills: 7 years min. Oracle exp., Must have hands on exp. and able to
manage staff of DBA's. Req data warehouse and OLTP database exp. in large scale
implementation. 1) Ownership of the Custom Solutions data model, schema
definition, and implementation. 2) Serve as key participant and influencer in
persistent object definitions and standards. 3) Ensure OO model to RDBMS
interfaces, standards, tools, and processes. 4) Maintain reciprocal consistency
of OO/relational management system mappings and definitions. 5) Ensure
compliance with project wide database policies and standards. 6) Maintain
overall data quality and database integrity including data conversion. 7)
Design and implement data distribution strategy. 8) Ensure database
performance, tuning, and optimization. 9) Enforce data security policy. 10)
Ensure schema implementation changes and control of migration from development,
test, and production. 11) Communicate design, policy, and procedures to
development teams. 12) Enforce operations of the database environments to
ensure compliance with appropriate operational standards. 13) Act as key and
final arbiter of enterprise wide DBA issues and decisions. 14) Establ ish
standards for data models, schema definition, and their implementation. 15)
Establish project wide database policies and standards. 16) Experience and
willingness to create written structures, standards, procedures, and reports in
a fluid ad hoc environment with little or no supervision. CATEGORY Engineering
