The IP address of my UNIX server has changed, and I want to know what to
do in the configuration files to allow Oracle client to connect to
this server.

THANKS.

If the name is the same and the host name is in your tnsnames.ora:Nothing.

Otherwise made the change in the tnsnames.ora file in
$ORACLE_HOME/network/admin.

If you are using Windows clients, you may have to make changes in the
hosts file located on the windows clients.

Nothing. If you are using hostnames and something like a DNS server.

Everything if you are not. You will need to check the LISTENER.ORA and
TNSNAMES.ORA file on the server. You will need to update the TNSNAMES.ORA
file on every single client.
