Senior Software Engineer (Server Execution Group) Position Overview: As part
of the Server group, you will be responsible for the design, implementation and
maintenance of key Server runtime features. A Senior Software Engineer works
independently and with a team on projects of diverse complexity. Provides
continuity between desired technical direction and associated development
projects. Determines the tasks necessary to achieve the goals and develops task
breakdowns, time estimates and a work plan to build, test and maintain the
product. Duties involve working on our Distributed DBMS internals (such as
query processing, access methods internals, database administration internals,
process management, networking (Corba), and SQL programming). Position
Requirements: 5+ years RDBMS experience. B.S or M.S. in Computer Science or
equivalent. Proficiency in C or C++. Solid knowledge of RDBMS runtime execution
environment. Very good communication skills. Capable of working alone or in
team environments. Capable of taking a feature, designing and implementing it.
