hi all,

whenever i try to connect with sqlplus i get following error message:

Message file sp1<lang>.msb not found
Error 6 initializing SQL*Plus

i am using solaris7 and Oracle 8.1.7 Enterprise Edition
the installation was succesful without any errors and the database starts
when the system starts without any errors
only sqlplus seems not to work.

i hope anyone can help me

set ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID in your environment. You might want to
try:

. oraenv

and respond to the prompts.

Set environment variable ORA_NLS33=$ORACLE_HOME/ocommon/nls/admin/data

i have done all of this, but i get the same error message as before when
trying to start sqlplus.
i don't know what else i can do or perhaps i am doing some big mistakes at the
.profile file.
