Developer 2000 in Linux available?

Post by Grace Tsa » Fri, 30 Apr 1999 04:00:00

I called Oracle Support to find out if the Developer2000-version2.1
could be
compatible for RedHat5.2-Kernel2.2.2 or not. The Oracle Support said
none of
the Oracle Product of Linux has been certified yet. But I have seen a
lot of discussions in this newsgroup about Oracle/Linux installation,
sqlplus etc..
If no linux version has been certified, where have those people using
Linux got their
software?

Any suggestons or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in
advance.

Developer 2000 in Linux available?

Grace,

The discussions have focused on Oracle Server running on Linux, not the
client software.  Once you have Oracle running on a Linux server the Oracle
clients, including Developer and Designer, don't know or care what OS the
server is using.
