Client is looking for a Foxpro/ Visual Basic programmer/developer with
experience in a client server environment. The ideal candidate will be able to
develop new projects and provide problem solutions to the existing applications
that fall under the responsibility of a group called YMS (Yard Management
System). This will involve working well with account managers and users,
developing new application enhancements, reports, interfaces, etc. as needed to
enhance these systems. This position could also be involved with day-to-day
support, patch and release installations, and documentation. The ability to
learn business knowledge of the client company in a short period of time, take
ownership of their applications, and develop ways to improve the process is
also required. This position involves converting some of the client company's
applications from Foxpro to Visual Basic. A working knowledge of Oracle is a
big plus.
