position, you will work within National Operations in the Database
Services Group (DBS) in Silver Spring, Maryland. DBS offers database
support to one of the largest data centers across the nation, which
operate 24/7, 365 days a year.
As a Sr. Oracle DBA, you will be responsible for the design,
development and administration of our Oracle Databases in the
following computing environments: Unix (AIX and Solaris), NT, Web and
Intranet. You will analyze, test, and implement physical database
design supporting various business applications (e.g., web
applications, claims processing system and emergency room tracking
system to name a few.) Your expertise in logical and physical design
of Oracle Database is critical to your success in these projects.
The right candidate will also possess strengths in the following areas
of Oracle Database Administration: database backup and recovery,
performance tuning, disk space management and multi-tier Client/Server
architecture.
