This Minneapolis based company is replacing their legacy Cobol systems
with ERP an
(Oracle Enterprise) Oracle Application Suite, and is seeking a Senior
Database Analyst.
This individual will work in a team environment to provide support for
the planning,
design, development, integration, an performance of their Oracle
databases and the
applications that run on them.
Responsibilities include: working with existing staff to support,
maintain, and
performance tune Oracle RDBMS and Oracle app.; performing problem
diagnosis and
determining resolution of application and system SW; providing direction
and technical
expertise to IS staff and others; and conducting a proactive review of
all changes that
are scheduled for production.
Qualifications include 7 yrs exp in IS, and 4+ yrs exp working with
databases (UNIX
platform and Oracle Relational Data Base Systems) in a windows env, and
2+ yrs Oracle
application exp. You must have experience with interaction of Oracle's
databases and its
Financial and Manufacturing packages including application with
upgrades and patches,
concurrent manager, tuning and overall performance management. Strong
analytical skills
are important to be able to translate technical info into working plans
as well as good
teaching skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are
required, and the
ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Our client will provide new challenges to the right individual including
developing the
infrastructure to migrate the Oracle Applications Suite to the Web, and
performance
management of a 100+ gig Oracle Applications database.
