There's a Year 2000 bug in some installer programs manufactured a few
months ago. I met an error message which mentioned exactly the same DLL
(MSVCRT.DLL - the MS Visual C Runtime libraries).
The problem was solved thusly :-
Oracle's advice is to download the Y2K compliant installer program from
their support website ( support.oracle.com leading to the Metalink
Therefore, you need a support contract with Oracle or if that is not in
place, you might have to try and download a recent version of some
client software of Oracle's, which hopefully will contain a recent
version of the installer program.
