Candidate will support the S&ITG Infrastructure Support System. Primary
responsibility is running, maintaining and enhancing the production database.
Oracle is hosted on a HP 9000 running HP/UX and is the DBMS for the
implementation of an application based on commercial software from PeopleSoft
for HR/Payroll processing. Activities include database creation, database
sizing, performance tuning. Database security and database back up and recovery
for both the primary system and the back up system. The DBA will support
development activities and the installation and migration of PeopleSoft
utilities used for job scheduling and a portion of the database activities.
