I'm trying to use dao 3.6 to access an Access mdb. However, when I
create the engine, the CLSID's resolve to DAO 3.5 GUIDs. My question
is, how do I force the app to load DAO 3.6 GUIDs. I have already tried
to set the MFC module to 0x0601 to no avail. Any help would be
appreciated.

That should do it unless you are statically linking to MFC

Then I think you have to rebuild MFC to #define _MFC_VER 0x0601

At any rate you should be able to trace into MFC and see why it's loading
