Help: Error 429 ActiveX component cannot create object

Hi,

I have just started to learn Visual basic. As a first
exercise, I thought I would explore the sample apps
that are bundled with VB 5.0 Professional. I attempted
to run the "Biblio" application but received the followng
error:

  Runtime error '429'.

  ActiveX component can't create object.

It is triggered by the following line located in the
ListTitleAuthors sub procedure:

Set myDb = DBEngine.Workspaces(0).OpenDatabase(sDir & "\biblio.mdb")

This error occurs when I try to run many of the other sample
applications. I have verified that the reference to the DOA exists
within my VB environment by checking the References option under
the Project menu item.

I am runing NT 4.0 and VB Professinal 5.0 . If anyone can
shed some light on this I would appreciate it.
