Binding of 3rd party Database Controls to Datasource in VC++ 4.2

Post by Steve Dach » Wed, 05 Mar 1997 04:00:00

Like many others posting to this newsgroup, I am starting out in the
world of
C++ and would appreciate some help.

I have previously developed an app in VB and used the TrueGrid control
extensively.   This control is also in VC++ 4.2.

I could not find a simsple way of binding TG to a datasourc, ala VB.
The
method suggested by the Microsoft Press teaching VC++ appears very
convoluted!!

TIA.

1. 3rd party tools for VB vs VC vs VC++

So far, I've only heard about 3rd party tools for VB.  Are there just as
many for VC and VC++?  Are they any good?  I'm especially interested in
tools for databases.  I know there are a few for VB but not sure about VC.
