Microsoft Access 7.0 driver - syntax error

Microsoft Access 7.0 driver - syntax error

Post by Graeme Wedderbur » Thu, 30 May 1996 04:00:00

I'm getting the following error when using RemoteData Controls and DBCombo Controls :

37000: [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access 7.0 Driver]Syntax error in query expression 'current of SQL_CUR6630276x'

I haven't used any code just set design time properties seemingly exactly as the manual says they should.
All data sources have simplistic SQL properties to return their recordsets (select * from <tablename>).

Does this ring anyones bells ?

1. sp_setapprole [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Syntax error or access violation

Hi all,

When I try to activate an approle as follows:

exec sp_setapprole 'appRoleTest', {Encrypt N 'test'}, 'odbc'

in query analyzer, sql server returns "[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server
Driver]Syntax error or access violation"

but an approle can be activated by

exec sp_setapprole 'appRoleTest', 'test'

and no error's returned.

Can anyone explain why?  Thx in bunch.

Jasmine
