10000 records in access database with images

Has anyone developed a working application that has 10000 main records
as in Customer records and impedded within 2 photos of each customer.

My customer is planning to run a system with all this information and
I am wondering whether the database will hold out.

Oracle a better choice???

This app will be only run as standalone.

Does it make a difference if we use access or VB for Stability and performance

Doesnt matter what database you use, getting graphics in and out of a database
is very slow.  What you should do (in my opinion anyway) is put a
pic_counter(indexed), pic_id (indexed) and pic_path (UNC path) to the file (if
on one machine, then normal path is fine) in the database and leave the pics
outside of it. Base your pic querys on pic_id  (ie SELECT pic_id,pic_path from
pictable WHERE pic_id = persontable.person_pic_id)

anyway goodluck.

1. Access Project Returning 10000 records/

New to SQL 7.  I have two questions.
Just upsized an access db.

In SQL Query Analyzer I get all 30,000 records.  In the project I only get
10,000.  Is there a setting in access or sql that will limit the number of
records returned?

What might be a good beginner's book.  I purchased SQL Server 7: A
beginner's Guide because, "In particular, this book addresses the Microsoft
Access users who want to use another (more powerful) database system."  I'm
not sure about Access Users but I have built numerous access db's, set up
backend db's, and connected to them via asp.  Thus far, I have not found the
book helpful and haven't found a single reference to connecting and Access
DB to SQL or upsizing an Access DB.  Both of which I would think should
definitely be in a book that states it address the Microsoft Access user in
particular.  I'm keeping the book as it looks like a good reference book.
Thanks,
