I've got a semi-serious situation on my hands, depending on weither or
not the world is going to end this weekend.. ;).
My problem is simple, I'm using VB6, and SQL 7.0. I'm using DAO 3.51,
when I get a recordset from the SQL server, any field that is longer
than about 255 characters is truncated. These fields are of type
VARCHAR, length 5,000 to 8,000. the data is in the database (one field
in particular is 3200 characters long (a description)) but when I create
a recordset and say, output the values to a textbox, or any control for
field which would hold the traditional "memo" useless.. I'm positive
it's not SQL, but rather something with DAO.. I would use ADO, but this
understand.
Thanks!
