DBE Error and Delphi Error ! Help

Post by Jean-Philippe Duma » Sun, 31 Dec 1899 09:00:00

Hy,

I need to install my Paradox-Delphi application on my client, but
before, I need to control the exception error message like the
DatabaseError. If my system make Database Error like Key violation, or
not in insert mode, or like this, I will like to know more informaition,
like on what table it's go, or in with function of my delphi code. So
How can I have the Table name, the field name... of the error...

I read about DBIGetErrorContext with the context ecTableName but it's
always empty.. and what about TDBError, EDBEngineError or
TDbEngineErrorDlg, How it's work !!!

Thanks to all

1. Need help in solving a DBE Error mystery...

Greetings,

Does anyone know what causes the BDE error "The lock file has grown too
large"?

The program is written in Delphi 2 and it works in many other platforms
(including other novell networks).
Any clues towards the solution of this problem will be greately
appreciated.

P.S. We are aware of the existance of Net Directory setting in BDE
configuration.

Regards.
