Building nice Graphical Interfaces for the users.

Building nice Graphical Interfaces for the users.

hi fellows,

I consider  the Building of a fonctional, efficient, and nice looking
GUI for DATABASE applications to be quite big task as it concerns a
lot of things :
- SDI / MDI
- Windows chaining
- Splitters and resizing assuming users all have different Screen size
- Buttons kind and place.
- Allowing the user to play with more than one window at one time
- etc ...

I know that  I will get most of the answers to  these questions thanks
to my coming experience in database development (only 1 year so far),
but maybe some of you could point me on interesting informations like

- books on the subject.
- Sharewares made with Delphi I could learn from.
- Screenshots of Delphi Database Apps
- or anything else...

I have already looked at a lot of sharewares made with Delphi but
substantial  Database Applications are a lot more difficult to find on
the Web.

thanks in advance.

framework.
Mail if you want to help.

1. Graphical User Interface for SQL clients.

I am looking planning to write a Graphical User Interface using
motif for accesing SQL servers over the internet. Regarding this
I have the following questions:

        1. Has somebody already done this ?

        2. Are there any specs for this which can be considered a STANDARD ?
        or
        2. What would be a WISH LIST for such a product ?

        3. What kind of SQL servers are available in the market now ?

        4. Any additional comments on the pros and cons of the product ?

        5. Where and how could it be typically used ?

Any replies to the above questions will be appreciated. If I
get sufficient replies, I *will* post a summary. I will acknowledge
individual emails.

Thanks,

Krishnan
