Closing from control box causes error

Post by B » Fri, 26 Apr 1996 04:00:00

Dear Codeheads,

I've got a simple, one-form VB4 app that causes an error when you
choose Close from the control box. The error is: "Object doesn't
support this method or property." This doesn't happen when I use the
Exit button I put on the form, nor when I choose any of the other
control box menu items.

I've stepped through all the code and the error happens immediately
after selecting Close and before any of my code runs. What gives?

Thanks in advance,

Bill

1. Control the close button / close box

System is relatively simple.

But i'd like to take control when users click the close box, and require
them to exit the system via a menu screen.

Simple experimentation reveals that when a script designated in
Preferences as the file-closing script terminates, the file is closed:
not what I want.
