Can I have VB front to MDB over the net?

I want to have a VB5 front end to a mdb over the net; is this possible?
I am using DAO.  Is there a way to trick the RODBC or something?

Thanks in advance,

1. VB project using .MDB without having Access?

Hey folks, I know this is a newbie question, but...

Does a computer need MS Access if a .mdb file is used as a data store for a
VB project? I have heard conflicting reports. Isn't the Jet Engine all that
is needed, which is standard on Windows PCs?

If the answer is YES, how is referential integrity enforced?
Thanks in advance!
