MSPress Jet4 Programmer's Guide Yet?

Has anyone heard any news about MSPress "Jet Database Engine Programmer's
Guide 3rd Edtion" (for Jet 4)?

It was on Amazon last summer as a "coming soon", and had a release date of
October 1999.  I just looked again and Amazon no longer lists it.

However, it is still listed at FatBrain as "coming Oct 1999" and they are
still taking orders.

see: http://www1.fatbrain.com/asp/bookinfo/bookinfo.asp?theisbn=0735605858
for details

Now, you've probably heard the same as me, that the reason for the original
holdup was something to do with the fact that ADOx still wasn't out and at
the time ADO2.0 just didn't really do a good job for Jet ... so rather than
put out a book that said "Use ADO unless you really have to get work done,
then use DAO" they were holding for ADOx2.1's release.

Well, I don't know if any of that old story is true, but now that ADOx2.1 is
with us and Jet4 is almost a year old ... (granted ADO is still really best
for SQLServer and ADOx is kinda hacky for most Jet deployments) shouldn't
the book come out to help us?

One of the authors told me that the book form got nixed and it will be released only
on msdn instead.  But I don't know much more than that.  I was looking forward to it
too.
