Does anyone know of a way to connect to MS-SQL from UNIX-based perl or C
programs?  Thank you.

For starters you will have to load the Windows Sockets Net-Library in
the "SQL Setup" utility and restart the service.

Cheers,

Don't know what flavour of unix you're using, this works for me on linux.

If you can find out if it works with SQL7 I'd be happy :)

The Sybase Client Library is avaliable for a bunch of unix platforms...If you
enable TCPIP in the sql server - you can talk to the ms-sql server via
the ctlibrary.  The only problem is the client-library costs $$$ ::)  There's
a free version avaliable for Linux - you can ftp it from ftp.sybase.com

Have Fun!
