Connecting SQL Server's Across A Workgroup

Connecting SQL Server's Across A Workgroup

Post by Simon Humphrie » Sat, 03 Mar 2001 02:04:03

Hi,

We currently have 2 web servers, each running MSDE, placed in a workgroup. I
am having problems getting one of the webservers to read the others database
using SQL Authentication. The problem is that although the other machine can
see the other one, it will not allow it to connect to the others database, I
have tried using the "SA" login. It says "Not Associated With A Trusted
Connection" when I try to use access to connect to the other server.
The Machines are connected via there own internal network card and have
another network card with load balancing connected to the outside world.

Does anyone have any idea how to connect 2 sql servers across a workgroup?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Many Thanks

Try these

Is the authentication level set to NT only
Are you using Named Pipes.  If so move to TCP/IP
