Upgrade to SDK 2.1

Upgrade to SDK 2.1

Post by David Mons » Sat, 11 Sep 1999 04:00:00

I am running NT Server - Service Pack 4 and installed MDAC (SDK
2.1) to allow support for Access 2000.  I have a website that connects to a
sql server 6.5 database and when I try to login, I get the following error:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e4d'

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server] Login failed

Any help resolving this issue would be appreciated.

New MDAC DA SDK 2.1 update!

The new MDAC SDK for ADO + OLE DB 2.1 is finally released!

look for sdkupd_i.exe (x86)

: Contains updated headers, libraries, and documentation
: for building applications with MDAC 2.1.
: The DA SDK 2.1 Update is intended for use with the tools
: and samples provided in the Data Access : SDK 2.0;

: MDAC component files must be installed separately.

* MDAC 2.1 will be available from this page
* when released as a standalone redistributable

The 2.1 runtime binaries are still not separately available,
only in SQL-Server 6.5 SP5:
or on the new SQL 7.0 CD.
