I put mdac 2.6 sp1 on my clients running vb6 sp5 program compiled with
reference to microsoft data access 2.5.
When I log on as me (sql admin), I can connect to all servers.
When I log on a user box as the client, they can't connect to sql 7
but can connect to sql 2K.
win2k won't let me take off mdac 2.6 or reinstall mdac 2.5.
MSDN has no fixes that I can Find.
I noticed Serge Shakhov has some success with sql 2K.
HELP, please.

1. mdac 2.6 slower compared to mdac 2.5
We have upgraded from SQL Server 7.0 to 2000. What we have
noticed is that the same set of executables that were
running on mdac 2.5 is now running slower on mdac 2.6.
Since SQL Server 2000 installs mdac 2.6 as part of its
installation, we are forced to use mdac 2.6. Now all our
executables run 50 % slower on mdac 2.6 than the ones that
run on mdac 2.5.
Could anyone shed some light on this issue? Is this a bug
in 2.6 or is there a configuration option that I am not
setting correctly??
