what is the best way to store a binary file e.g. a Winword-Document to an
MSSQL-image column??

Hi Maik,

You can only do this from a programming level, since you cannot type the
binary contents of the file. There's basically two methods: via DML or via
CLI. DML (WRITETEXT, TEXTPTR, etc.) is less efficient and, since you
already have to use the CLI to provide the binary contents of your
document, you are better of using ODBC or db-lib. See the db-lib (i.e.
dbwritetext) or ODBC (i.e. SQLPutData) docs.
