Replication need some suggestions!!!

At least once week or so distribution agent for one of our database is
failing to transfer the data to other Servers even though logreader is
reading the data, but distribution agent history says no replicated
transactions are available. Even though distribution agents for other
databases are working well. I am using push subscription and distribution
database is on the publisher server. Any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Did you stop and start the distribution agent?

Distribution agent runs every three minutes, also I tried by stoping and
restarting the SQL Agent but is of no help.

1. Suggestion needed for replication notifications

Hello all-

I have an Access database which subscribes to an SQL Server 2000 merge
replicated database.

I need to receive a notifcation of changes to the data in an application.
Ideally, some sort of ActiveX event call back would work.  So,  my
application can pass a callback proc to the ActiveX control when data is
changed.

I'm lost in the Replication architecture - DTS, DMO,  Merge agents, Snapshot
agents, etc.

Any suggestions how you have done this?

( We don't use .NET - so I guess that rules out the Notification Services
framework).
