I cracked and called the US number. The people I spoke to
were very helpful and the 'hotfix' is on its way to me by
e-mail(no charge).
Non-US MSDN users should note - call your local support
number not the US one that given in the error message in
the on-line support wizard. You should still get the fix
for free, but you'll save call charges.
