PumpItUp
The primary purpose of the product is to generate unlimited amounts of
random test data in predetermined distribution patterns. In other
words, PumpItUp is far more than a simple ran dom number or character
generator. What sets it apart is the level of control an end-user is
given over the way the data is generated. Through the use of features
like weighted ranges, sequential keys, the ability to intermix
real data (from a weighted li st) with randomly generated data, and a
unique character generator that creates pronounceable random words,
PumpItUp can closely approximate the characteristics of a production
database. The PumpItUp software program works in heterogeneous
environments supporting Oracle, Sybase, MS SQL Server, Watcom, and
SQLBase in the initial release, with others ( Interbase, foxpro ODBC
to follow).
