IIS, RDA and connection

Post by Martin Tomá1e » Sat, 11 Jan 2003 01:15:18

Just wondering if anyone can help me out on this.  I am
working on an VS.NET SDE Beta application that use RDA to get data
from a SQL Server database. This application runs on iPAQ that is connected
by cradle (USB) to desktop computer with the IIS server and SQL Server
(MSDE).  This computer is connected to LAN, but my application will not use
it (no need to connect SQL Server on another computer).
Everything works nice, but when I disconnect computer from LAN (network
cable is plugged off), there's occured native SSCE error 28037 (A request to
send data to the computer running IIS has failed). Why? I thought, that RDA
object is connecting directly to IIS and SQL Server at desktop computer.
I've got no idea about this.

Thanks very much.

Hi Martin,

I believe you need to install the Loopback Adapter for this to work. Check
