SQL Server UID & PWD

SQL Server UID & PWD

I can't get the example in Q171146 to work (Create and Remove a DSN in
Visual Basic).  Creation fails but if I remove UID & PWD it works.  I'm
using a valid admin level user and password.  The delete fails as well if I
manually create the DSN.  I've been over this several times and I don't
think I'm doing something stupid.  Am I?

Is it possible this is taking the UID & PWD as a NT Login?  I'm using SQL
Server Authentication.  If so what is the attribute?
