You can try this:
1. Create a device in SQL server
2. Create an empty database in that device
3. Crate a DSN in you machine to link to that database
4. Start the upsize program, chooice 'use existing database'
5. upload your table.

Everyone:
Please help! I can not run access upsizing tool correctly to change my
access database to SQL database. I made DSN for file type, user type and
system type, using access driver, but none of them can be accept when I
run upsizing tool to choose DSN, it gave alarm of "can not
use ODBC to input or output, or can not link an outer Microsoft
Jet/ISAM
database to your database."
I tried the DSN with SQL driver, it seems can be accept, it asked
to login the SQL SERVER. But I think I have no SQL TYPE database right
now, I only have access database, I just want to change it to SQL, why
should I choose SQL driver when my data is still access database?
I have no idea now, how can I change my access database to SQL
SERVER 6.5 DATABASE ?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks to James Hung,
Now I learned more on SQL server with your help. I did as what you
said, but I met another problem. When I made file DSN in ODBC
adminstrator, I choosed SQL driver, it poped up SQL SERVER logon window,
in that window, I entered SQL SERVER's name (which located on another NT
server),and entered user and password (db owner), it failed to connect
to the SQL server. What can I do now?

Thanks in advance.

1. Problems using Access Database upsized to SQL-server

Hello,

We are using Access 95 in combination with SQL-server 6.0.
Recently we upsized an Access 95 database to SQL-server. The upsizing
succeeded, but now we experience problems while inserting records in
certain tables.

After inserting a new record, Access displays "#Deleted" in every field
of the newly inserted record. After requerying, the new record is
displayed normally.

We suspect the problem is caused by foreign keys in SQL-server.

Who can help us solve the problem ?
Thanx,

Theo Boersma
